Orion Bank is a self-initiated concept: a retail banking app built around the moments where AI actually helps a customer rather than the ones where it demos well. We designed the full path — onboarding, KYC, the dashboard, and the screens where a decision goes against you. Concept work is how we test positions a client timeline rarely allows.

Most AI banking interfaces put a chat box on a dashboard and call it intelligence. The harder problem is the decline. When a model says no to a transfer, a limit increase or a loan application, the customer needs to know why, what happens next, and that a person can review it. That screen never appears in a pitch deck, which is exactly why we started there.

Mapped the flow around real drop-off points rather than the happy path, then designed onboarding and KYC against them. Built the dashboard on money movement instead of a prompt box. Treated explainable declines and human-review states as first-class screens rather than error toasts. Everything runs on one set of tokens and components, so the tenth screen looks like the first.
